Description:
The surface is achieved using red terra sigillata, an ancient technique that burnishes the clay to a soft, satin finish without the use of a glassy glaze. The white application of white slip sweeps across the form in broad stripes carved to reveal the red sig, highlighting the vase's playful wrapping and unwrapping texture. The visible brushstrokes and "imperfections" in the white slip add depth and character, ensuring no two angles look the same.

Finished with red sig. Not dishwasher safe.
